Just wondering how Central as the #11 seed gets to play the #3 and #2 seeds in a Blair County gym about eight miles from their school. Do they have some kind of pull on the committee?

hburg JH is always used. Since the BM boys and girls were playing on the same night where could they go? It would be unfair for the PV girls to travel to CC.

I understand your point sydfinch. I am not sure why they got to play in the quarterfinals there. I do understand why the semifinals were there. District 6 doesn't get things right most of the time, however, they do try to get schools a boys girls double-header if at all possible. In this case they at least got the games in a close proximity. McCort boys and girls were in seperate gyms, but at least they were in Hollidaysburg. I know D6 would honor tickets from both sites.

Where D6 gets it wrong is this. They should schedule the four semi-final teams in the same place if at all possible. That makes an easy scout for the teams. Give it a Final Four atmosphere.

Why did Central Cambria Boys have to go to State College as the #1 seed?

Why did the #1 McCort girls have to go to Hollidaysburg to play Central in round 1?

Why do 3 Blair County teams drive right past Central Cambria to travel to Richland to play while two Johnstown teams (BM and WH) travel to Ebensburg to play?

The only thing that distance effects are the parents/followers of the team.
