Im sorry but trying to kick a football off a tee in practice doesn't necessarily mean you are making football decisions for the team. Hell he missed last mondays practice and was in a cart for tuesday, i believe. I am sure alot of decisions go thru him but his assts. are running the show for the most part. he isnt nearly as active as you think.

I hear he has moved alot of his stuff to his house and he "works" from home more than at his college office.

I also heard from a good friend at the Altoona Mirror that during his press conferences he gets mixed up on kids names, positions, etc. Maybe that is his age showing, but if you are making the decisions that alot of you guys say he is, you should be able to remember names a little bit better. Do you really want that kind of memory making the decisions come game day! You nitters are in trouble when they get in a tight game against a great team, if the jokester is really that involved and making decisions.

I would say at this point Bowden is more involved with his team than Paterno, which is probably not a good thing for FSU. I agree it is without a doubt time for both to go. Sure they are both staying competitive but I just don't think Bowden or Paterno have what it takes to take a team to the next level anymore. These two schools are missing that outstanding coach to restore them to a constant championship contender.

You can't tell me Paterno is a big part of the game planning. The man is 106 years old he cannot have anything but mush in his brain at that age.

You guys are completely wrong on this one. Look, Paterno having such a stranglehold is another reason why he SHOULD leave!!!! But, he is seriously way, way, way more involved than you guys "think". "I just go by what I see" is ridiculous. First off, YOU HAVEN'T seen anything, which is why you dont think he's that involved. Paterno ok's or veto's EVERY decision that the assistants want to make during the week, and during the games.

He has done that since the 1980's at least. I remember when I was a kid and hearing him mess players names up. It's nothing new.

And for you people who think Bowden is more involved? Guess what. Last year Lynn Swan was asking questions to Bowden on the sideline as to why they ran a certain play, and Bowden had no idea what he was talking about.
