I know our rankinds are based off of a points system for wins and who you beat.
But in the WPIAL at least for basketball anyway they have a committee that ranks the teams 1-16 regardless of record but actually take into consideration how good the teams are, and who they play.
If that were to happen how would you rank these playoff teams 1-15.

Id go with this but i dont some of these teams too well.

1.Bishop McCort
2.Portage
3.Bellwood-Antis
4.Bishop Guilfoyle
5.Purchase-Line
6.Bishop Carroll
7.Mount Union
8.Moshanon Valley
9.Northern Cambria
10.Blairsville
11.Laurel Valley
12.Homer Center
13.Penns Manor
14.Blacklick Valley
15.Claysburg-Kimmel

some of those were guesses....somebody with a knowledge of the whole area might have a better chance.

WPIAL has selection committee for all sports or at least that's what I always thought. Now it is easier for their committees, however, since their leagues are separated by class. They still have to determine the strength of leagues but it is easier b/c all teams play similar size competition within league games. In d6, its very hard to compare the body of work of a team in the LHAC with a team in the Westpac. My rankings favor the 3 LHAC teams much more than an actual hypothetical committee would. However, these are the top 15 in my mind.

1. Bishop McCort
(#2-4 are too close to call for me. Some ordering of Bishop Guilfoyle, Bishop Carroll, and Bellwood-Antis)
2. Bishop Guilfoyle
3. Bellwood-Antis
4. Bishop Carroll
5. Portage
6. Purchase Line
7. Mount Union
8. Blairsville
9. Northern Cambria
10. Laurel Valley
11. Moshannon Valley
12. Homer Center
13. Penns Manor
14. Blacklick Valley
15. Claysburg-Kimmel

Yes I agree, BC is very over rated this year. I only seen them play one game so far this year and that was against FH and their run game was very suspect. That game Mehall had 100 yards 5 or 6 minutes into the game. Also I would like to state that D6 A bracket you look at almost every team and they are about 80% run 20% pass except for maybe BG and I dont know what Bellwood does. But either way it doesnt look good for BC.

Carrol also beat CC (granted it was week 1). They may be overrated but not extremely overrated. I honestly think they'd blow portage out.

Have any of you (other than Westpac teams) even seen Portage play? They're not going to get blown out by anybody (I’d put McCort -16). Portage has athletes on their team…and they always have tough nosed kids. I’d be shocked if it isn’t Portage/BM in the championship.

The Crushers got the raw end of the bracket for sure. However...I'm with DWG...BM/BG won't be as close this time if it happens again. BC is one dimensional, and can't stop the run. BM's first big test will come against a well coached and seasoned Bellwood team. Still, the road to the D6A championship is without a doubt running through point stadium.

BTW...how about BM just finding a way to win (again) Friday night in Ebensburg. Hats off to the Crusher seniors. The OG is very impressed with the poise that this team has shown this year when facing adversity...very commendable.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

And no sandbagging Op, I'd go BM -6

Week off is huge for BM.....i keep reminding people that J. Siedel (although different style than Lowry & Wadley) is a natural tail back, good compliment & a stud on offense; also excellent lb er! He hasn't dressed in a few weeks now. Hopefully, he returns, Domonkos got hurt 1st Qtr of CC game & can use week off & qb has not been close to 100% since injury in Richland game! If they are all completly healthy for playoffs i don't see BM losing!
I have to say thank you to me ..." for not being stupid enough to go to Penn State."

As long as Rugg is playing, BM is in good shape. I dont see too many lines being able to handle him.
