Obama stated last week that it is "selfish" to not want to pay more taxes.

Biden has state that it is "patriotic" to pay more taxes.

McCain hasn't said he going to raise taxes, wait until 2010 if Obama is in the WH and the Bush Tax Cuts expire get ready to pony up at least a couple grand or more for Obama patriotism!

Finally deliverance.....why do you think we fought the Revolution? Why did we go to war against the British Empire? It was over taxes. Why do you think those boys in Boston were doing with the tea 230 odd years ago? Stealing it? We fought a war over taxes and won our freedom because of taxes. Now these idiots have the audacity to say its "unpatriotic and selfish" not to pay more taxes?

See taxes at this point don't really change my every day life. I guess that's why it's not as big of an issue for me right now. In a few years, that will probably be completely different. That would be the major reason why I don't necessarily pay a lot of attention to the tax issues with this election.

Have to get the big picture. Its not just taxes deliverance. It what taxes enable the gov't to do. Taxes give the gov't power over you and me and give the gov't power to give other group power over others. The Democrat "spread the wealth around" is a classic example of taxing one group and giving it to the other.

Taxes = power More taxes = More power Less taxes = less power. Simple as that.

Not hard to confuse a liberal with the truth. The conscent clause was the justification. The bottom line is that if the taxes weren't seen as high and unfair the issue would have been moot.
