Re: King of the Mountian
Bedford is worthy of a top three ranking in the state. I really don't know if they have enough to knock off Shady Side Academy (and yes, I know they beat them once last year), but they are as tough a team as you will find in Pennsylvania AA this year. They are not overrated at all. In saying that, they will not crown any champions this weekend at that tournament. They could have a couple finalists and will have a fair share of placewinners.

Re: King of the Mountian
Bedford finished fourth at the tournament with 8 placewinners.
Top 6 were Central Mountain, Perry Ohio, LaTrobe, Bedford, Reynolds, and High Point NJ.
Central Mountain is ranked 6th in the nation, Perry is ranked 9th, Reynolds is 17th, and High Point NJ is ranked 28th in the country.
So maybe Bedford is that good. Shady Side is ranked 25th. I still think SS is the team to beat in AA though this year. But Bedford proved last year that they can beat them. Should be interesting year. Hopefully the kids stay focused and continue to work hard.

Re: King of the Mountian
Just a thought on the Alton brothers from Central Mountain...
Any ideas as to where they are leaning towards in terms of college?
Will they go to the same school?
Any chance they could land at PSU? in their backyard at Lock Haven? or the mid-West like Oklahoma State or Iowa?
Any rumors....

Re: King of the Mountian
Congrats to Bedford. They sure do have a solid group this year, and should be very high in state duals.
I was checking out possible matchups for Tuesday night, and while the overall outcome was not in doubt, I was surprised to realize that Ridge will probably only win 3, maybe 4 matches.
