Okay, El, now I see your point. To my point, none of these things would be allowed if they were put up to a public vote. It's when we allow the government to make all the decisions that we run into problems. If you look at each issue individually( which you mentioned) and put it on a ballot, do you think John Q. Public would vote for them...I say no. That's why we can't be apathetic when it comes to electing OUR representatives, or we'll end up with a bunch of Blagos and other "nut cases"!

You know froggy, most of those cases are ultimately decided by the Supreme Court. Any law passed must be deemed to be "constitutional" unless it becomes an amendment. I'm sure you have no problem with following the Consitution, right? And of course we all know that Supreme Court justices must be nominated by the president, right? Now, do we know that 7 or the 9 current justices were nominated by republican presidents? I guess it's like you said, a bunch of nut cases.

Nat'l referendums would be a great idea. I would wake people up to the idea that we don't need those idiots is DC as much as they think we do. A Nat'l referendum in Illegal Immigration would be a great place to start.

OAR, I guess you like the courts "legislating" from the bench? That one of the major problems in this country are the moronic circuit courts run by a bunch of dead beat, red light chasing, class action suit lawyers imposing their will on the taxpayers at a whim. I have a real problem with life-appointments to the bench with no accountability!

I would love to think that oar wouldn't have to eat his words by the time BHO is done with his reign.
