Per Yahoo, Evans has declared, but for some reason Rivals and Scout are still hesitant. I have no idea why. I guess he is gone, and good luck to him, cause he's gonna need it.
Now we get to replace both DE's and we get to see the depth Johnson has accumulated there. Jerome Hayes is back healthy and will be one of them, and the other looks like Jack Crawford, a kid that has been getting very high praise from the staff and ppl who cover PSU. He is supposedly a weight room fanatic as well, and has looked incredible in the workouts this week.

From ESPN.com
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State defensive end Maurice Evans has made himself eligible for the NFL draft.
The 6-foot-2, 264-pound junior was held out of the first three games of the season because of off-field issues. He finished with three sacks for the eighth-ranked Big Ten champion Nittany Lions (11-2), who lost to USC in the Rose Bowl.
In September, Evans was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and held out of three games by coach Joe Paterno.
Evans had 12.5 sacks in his first season as a starter and was among the finalists for the 2007 Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's best defensive end.
