Went to the PIAA website and it is disputing S Cube's info

They list 327 as the # of boys in grade 9, 10 11 the year it was counted...it's done in a two year cycle (this school year and next) and that puts them as the biggest 'AA' football team in the state...328 moves them up a class

also 'AA' in wrestling...359 boys would have moved them away from the 'little boys' in that sport...They are in District Four.

My bad, I thought I read in the Gazette that the kid Chesney wrestled from Shamokin in the finals of the Southmoreland Tournament was a returning AAA state qualifier and ranked 3 or 4 in the state for AAA.

I talked to him at NB's elem wrestling tourney...Jan 3rd..(His son placed third I think) and daughter's jr high BB game Jan 15th but that's been it.

district 4 AA as far as i know. And about shamokin being a nice town, i think we are familiar with two completely different places. The one i know is a typical run down coal town that lives for hard-nosed friday night football.
