As a former Bedford player, the best away game there was was making the trip to FH. There was nothing like going to play up there. The old crappy locker rooms. The old crappy field. And the fans made the trip worth it.

Worst field and place to play has to go to Westmont. Saturday afternoon is for College football. Friday nights is where highschool football takes the stage. One day, maybe, they'll get it right.

G.H. Memorial in my opinion can not be considered until the lights are upgraded, though the surface and fieldhouse are top notch .
Richland and Somerset have put together nice facilities, however the parking at somerset is lacking. Also mansion park is getting a new surface this year.

nlions1,

I should have qualified that remark by saying I've heard Mansion Park is getting a new surface next year......I have heard this from two different sources, but, I was not at any board meetings or athletic committe meetings to confirm. I would be surprised if there is not a new fieldturf surface next year at the Mansion.

I see. Well Im pretty sure the Altoona school district takes pride in their field surface as they are one of the last ones to actually have that surface. They kind of see it as being one in a million Im sure. I wouldnt be surprised if that surface stays around for another 10 years. Then again I wouldnt be surprised if it was gone by next year.

I would love for them to finally do away with it though.
