Westmont will have a good highschool team this year, i dont care what anyone says, Aj Rievel Dave Mckolsky Tj Keklak Mike Valcheff John Valcheff and Matt Ziance are all good ball players and overall athletes. Dont count out andy pozun either. they will be a very competitive team in the LHAC no doubt. They could beat richland and mccort on a good day theres no doubt about that you cannot count this team out.
Bishop McCort will be a solid offensive and defensive team as well. However i will argue that they dont have a pitching staff as good as years in the past. dropping down to 1 a will be a huge advantage to them, they will have a long run in their playoffs. herrington swintosky leech vignero ferre kastellic are good players and they have a serious shot at the LHAC ship. seniors on this team will be key, vignero herrington kastellic and lowrey will have to have good years if they want to bring home the LHAC ship but it is possible. actually highly possible i wouldnt be suprised seeing them on top
Richland in my oppinion is an overall good and sound team. As defending LHAC champs they have alot of work to do for they lost big gray novotney and norman. They have a solid pitching core with right handers carbaugh urban szczur and kriak all in the 80s, carbaugh and urban high 80s. lefties sylvia gelles and crawford will be a great help to, maybe not throwing as hard but keeping hitters off balance. Defensively with urban gray and sylvia out there will be near errorless. Gray not having a good arm? Every time i watch and someone runs they are out, and ive seen a great deal of pickoffs. Hitting wise Notorious carbaugh, urban, gray, gelles, and sylvia will have great years. the defending champs have big shoes to fill but they have the kids to do it and repeat a ship this year.
Baseball is a funny sport, everyone has thier own oppinion and that is great. any team in the laurel highlands can beat any other team any given day and that is a fact. Westmont McCort and Richland will be top 3, no given order its too hard to see. I remember last year Fh somerset and Bm were all the hype pre season and im sure we know how that worked out. this year will be competitive and im deffinately going to as many games as i can because this will be a year to remember.

BM = D6 Runner Up, LHAC Runner Up, Good run in the state playoffs
FH = Bust
It seems 2 out of 3 lived up to the hype last year. Lets see if WH, Richland, and BM can do the same. I don't know how you can leave Somerset out of that top three though considering the history of the program and that they probably have a deeper pitching staff than BM and will be well coached hitters.
