TM Fan you are exactly right. They do play in the Sidsling Hill League. You listed 8 teams and TM. So if they win 20 games a year they should have 16 wins in there league. I also think the only people that believe the LHAC is all that "mighty" in basketball is the teams in Bedford County that wish they were in it. I certainly don't mean Tussey Mt. They need to stay in the Sideling Hill League so they can keep up there wonderful tradition.

I think Tussey would do it's fair share of winning in basketball in the LHAC. We always seemed to win the Bedford County League, even though Ridge and Bedford have always outnumbered us, enrollment wise. Tussey's physical style of play and hardnosed defense would fit in nicely in the LHAC.

If you want to talk weak basketball schedules over time, look right at the might Bedford Bisons who for years, and some of those as a AAA team, played in the Bed. Co League with "A" and "AA" teams. You never saw them step up in class? Of course, they didn't win any outright county titles since Royce Waltman prowled the sideline there over 20 yrs. ago either! Or, Mr. Beerbelly, if you are a Ridge guy, how many county titles did Ridge win in the history of the BCL? Easy....ZERO

That's all I was trying to get at in my first...sarcastic reply. They are down right now. With the law of averages, it was going to happen. Weak teams remain on the schedule and they could/should? get double digits in wins... a great year for lots of teams in the past when Tussey was rattling off 20 or so and never losing at home.

I know, my innocent question about the team got out of hand. In other forum fans have not taken questions so personal. A high school sports team is not life.

That's what I like about TM. The fans not only expect good basketball -- they feel as if they deserve it, almost as if it's a birthright. With an attitude like that, they'll always be successful -- ALWAYS AS LONG AS DB COACHES, of course.
Speaking of the Coach, despite the early season troubles, I expect he'll have the Titans tuned up pretty well the second half of the season.

Has coach Bailey gone the way of coach Paterno? It's laughable that because Tussey is having one down year some bearbellied bleachercoach thinks he can talk smack on a program with a tradition that can rival any school's. I never liked Tussey much in hs, hated playing them in basketball, (nothing like kids holding up obscene signs and knives and whatever they felt like in the stands), but I respected them. Their coach and team that is. Their fans are crazy at times, but like HR said previously they treat opponents with a lot of civility off the court unlike other schools.
They played harder at all times than anyone else around and it shows. When they reload, not if but when. I think it will be a safe bet that they will remember all the things said about them and might possibly hold a grudge. and yes that's sarcasm If people want to piss off a beaten dog, they better be ready to face the penalty when it's healed. When Tussey reloads, the point spreads and injuries will be sick if Bailey decides not to call off the dogs end of story.

dont feel too bad for tussey mt basketball this year...they are still a competitive program and will be in the thick of it till the end of the year....don't expect those kids to lay down for anyone...the big kid is really solid and they play a lot of underclassmen...and by the way, holloway and chamberlain... just average?...while the shl is certianly not the strongest of leagues, it is the hand the area has been dealt...but, when tussey has stepped out of the league scotland and williamsport come to mind...hmmmm

And for a school their size they are still very competitive.
