A little levity pleze!! I, for one, would never make fun of anything associated w/UPS. Heck just the other day I was the WalMart in St.College & I had a chat w/Joey.....everything is cool w/ he & Vman:

I'd say there's one more team in there that turned it on pretty well come playoff time, chief.
Please don't tell me that you are talking about the NIT. It's meaningless and everyone with a brain knows it. Let me guess a big time 3-star will commit to PSU because they won the NIT?

Actually, a 4-star did.
Didn't PSU really step up in the NIT, though? Against teams their own caliber, they defeated 3 teams they should not have beaten. Didn't MSU do pretty much the same thing? I'd say that classifies PSU as having a "good run".

Paterno has had some runs. Too bad they were while heading for the locker room against Ohio State. And by the way, there was a 99.9% chance that BUIE was going to PSU anyway. The NIT didn't SWAY him.

Exactly. His step brother was already on the team. He attended the game for a reason. He was committing no matter what. Winning the NIT made very little to no difference on his decision. One four star mixed in with 2 3-stars and a bunch of no stars. I bet that will be a recipe for success while playing in the Big 10 Conference.

Wonder if philip's dad has seen the final ESPN/USA Today college basketball poll? Seems he was wondering about the best basketball conference. The final poll has SIX Big East teams in the top 25, FOUR of them in the top 10. The Big Ten had 2, that's right, TWO in the top 25. Of course, the Big Ten fans on this site are gonna say it means nothing, but most people would say diferently. And by the way, Pitt ended up 6th.

Jeff Sagarin's final season college basketball rankings have also been released. Again, which conference is the best, philip's dad wants to know. The Big East had SEVEN teams in the top 25, FOUR in the top 10. The Big Ten had only THREE teams in the top 25. By the way, one of them was Illinois who lost twice to Penn State. NO respect for Penn State though as they failed to crack the top 25. Says alot about winning the NIT, doesn't it??? Sagarin had Pitt ranked THIRD in the nation.
