What if your weights don't match up? What if your coach is 60 years old, is your team a loser because he no longer wrestles with his players? By age 19 and up, you don't have to wrestle with your coach except for a little practice. Suer he might show you a trick or tow, but you should already have in your arsenal the tools you need to wrestle at that level. Isn't that why you got your scholarship?

Your weight does not have to match up with that of your coach. If you're wrestling at the collegiate level, you've wrestled against people of many different weight classes. How many wrestling coaches do you see that are 60 years old? If the coach is 60 years old, I will guarantee that he has 4-5 assistant coaches that will be wrestling with the other wrestlers in the room. Wrestlers can't take their talents to the next level if they don't have good partners to wrestle with. Cael Sanderson is the best possible hire that any school could make at this point in time. PSU did that. You obviously don't follow wrestling. This isn't an argument that you're going to win. Sanderson will have them winning a National Championship within 3 years. Write it down.

Moldo, you are insane.

We could talk about Pitt making a good wrestling hire, but Pitt can't afford to field a wrestling team.

Pecora isn't 60 years old and he doesn't wrestle with his players. Strittmatter doesn't either. Yet they have one of the top Division II wrestling programs in college wrestling. Oh, I'm sure that they both give "pointers" in practice and are excellent in using certain drills to prepare their wrestlers for each match, but coaches wrestling with players is NOT a big criteria for having a winning season. And there is less strategy in collegiate wrestling than in high school. While high school coaches are shifting weights to get some knid of advantage over opponents, you don't see that on the college scene. Like I said, these wrestlers have a scholarship because they KNOW how to wrestle already. They do need polishing though. There's NO WAY that Sanderson was hired to wrestle with the members of his squad. And by the way, heard he got $500,000 per year and a million dollar signing bonus to coach the Nits. Looks like PSU is gonna need a 9th home game at Beaver Stadium in the years to come to help pay for it.

Strittmatter doesn't either.
Which Strittmatter is this that you speak of? Also, wrestlers are not players. They are wrestlers. Remember that when you try to make arguments about wrestling in the future.

UPJ's assistant coach. Since you know so much about wrestling, you should have known that. And since we're correcting each other, never end a sentence in a preposition. Might come in handy doing a term paper someday.

Since we're correcting each other, tell me how that is a sentence. I can't find the subject?

The Strittmatter comment goes to show that you know nothing about wrestling. There's more than one Strittmatter associated with wrestling. Jody has two brothers. John and Joe have been very involved in wrestling, too. They both wrestled at UPJ. I was asking which specific one you were talking about. Go back to talking something that you have a clue about. If you call a wrestler "a player", then you obviously know very little about the sport.

I knew them all. Surely you knew I was REFERRING to the UPJ assistant coach once I brought up head coach Pecora not wrestling with his players. Nice try though. Now, go jump in the river. No subject in that sentence either.

You (the subject) is understood in that particular sentence.

Vman has not awarded many stars of the week lately but Walt may have snagged one on a Monday, no less, with the "You Understood' clarification!
