Proposed 6 Classifications?

From what I was told the PIAA committee will be voting on the 6 football class proposal during their spring meeting during at the State Track Meet in Ship.

Just heard that the 6 class vote will be postponed. The WPIAL is asking for time for a "compromise". Don't really know what that means.

Someone just posted on another web site that they " heard" or feel the WPIAL called for the vote to be in July to work on an compromise. This person feels the WPIAL is now looking at, with six classifications, the 6a and 5a champ, the 4a and 3a, and 2a and 1a champions would play for some type of championship at Heinz and then precede with state playoffs. I don't no. Anyone have any insight on this?

A six-class system would result in nearly three-quarters of all WPIAL schools advancing to the playoffs, and four Class A schools from District 5 moving into the WPIAL playoffs.

Did i read that right? Does anybody have any insight on this.

Lets just give every team the chance to dress in uni's , line up in the center of the field, shake hands with all the other team's players, everyone gets his/ her trophy that they got because they feel good about themselves, hold hands, and sing "Kum-Ba-Yah"! Oh- I forgot- a special edition of each town's newspaper will be needed for all the team photographs since EVERY team will be eligible for trophies and Mommy and Daddy will want to frame little Johnny's and little Mary's "accomplishments"

It was voted down. I think the vote was 15 no and 13 yes
