haha yeah cause portage lost everyone...you're in idiot to think that windber is ramble the mustangs this year. Portage is gonna be better than Windber again. sorry buddy, but i'm glad you just had the need to get on here and run your mouth. If you are good you don't have to run your mouth and tell people how good you are. they will notice it. you running your mouth only proves to everyone that windber is still the cockiest and most arrogant town in pennsylvania. i rest my case. GO PENS

Portage ins't even D5. Maybe you're talking about the weak-pac title.

I think Portage had one first down when they played the crushers last year. Lol, how about this, I recently heard Portage's head coach complaining about playing the Crushers. What a joke the guy has two tough games a year and has to complain about it. Please, hey coach just go get better and beat them.

Windber should be much more competitive against Portage this year even with the loss of Erickson. They will be in the drivers seat in D5 A. I've seen a few posts about Kyle Smith he is quite small but is a very sound tackler. He would be more utilized if Windber can find a way to get him in the box more and use him as a run blitzer. I can see him making some big plays in that manner causing fumbles and making tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

First of all, the original post was discussing D5. I dont understand why Portage and Bishop McCort is in the discussion, they are in D6, the much better district. Portage beat the D5 A and AA champ, then got crushed by the Johnstown All-Stars, so like I said, D5 is no match to D6.

Since you brought it up Sheephead, for Portage to get better than the Crushers, they would have to go out and get better players, which is illegal. Portage only plays with Portage residents. If the PIAA would allow them to get players from other districts, then they could get better!
Actually for Portage to get better and be able to beat the McCorts of the world its simple, play better competition in the regular season! Not the weak-pac. Also Richland wanted to scrimmage Portage this year and Gause said no, or at least thats what I heard from a good friend of mine from Richland.

And to agree with a earlier post, yes D5 is the weakest district in the state.

This is a forum for predictions for the '09 season. I didn't ask for slamming on D5. Go make another forum if you want to waste your time doing that.
