Early on it is looking like NBC could be a contender. They are off to a great start and should find out a lot more this weekend at the St. Francis tournament.

I thnk this weekend at SFU will be a good measuring stick for where teams are at within the district/state. Some great matches with awesome "possible" matchups across A, AA, and AAA by state ranked programs...

it will be a good tournament.
i doubt northern cambria will be healthy and that is disappointing b/c i would like to see their full team play philipsburg and state college.

Gold Division - Clarion defeated State College in the finals 2 games to 1.
Silver Division - Chestnut Ridge defeated Rockwood in the finals 2 games to 0.
Bronze Division - ???????

So the 2009 District Six volleyball playoffs have begun and the usual powers have come through Monday's opening round. Now, the questions are: can Richland take down powerhouse Philipsburg and does Marion Center even stand a chance against Somerset? Will Chestnut Ridge show Penn Cambria how they do it in District 5 and can Huntingdon get back to the semifinals? Will it be a No. Cambria and West Branch battle in Class A and is 5-A all North Star? So, what do you think. Let's hear your predictions......any upsets?
