points well made but I think it could be a grave mistake if your backup isn't ready when needed......as I detailed in another post I don't think their first few games are easy > @ Buffalo, Navy (who we all know hung with OSU), @ NC St.& @ Louisville! Breaking down this team they have arguably their best OLine in yrs., very good & deep receiving corps,a solid Defense & dangerous returners. The Wanny/Cav/QB ineptitude has gotta' stop....if Stull starts any of these next 4 contests like 3 - 14, as he is known to do, HE HAS TO BE YANKED!

Speaking of booing, what about all the booing at Beaver Stadium when PSU lost to Iowa 6-4? And how about Robbie Gould being booed during opening ceremonies of his last game as a senior at Beaver Stadium? Recent enough for you?

Isn't Stull coming off an injury as well? I agree, give the kid a chance. Pitt has great WRs and a great TE.

Stull isnt coming off an injury really. But he did get banged up against Rutgers last year and it became quite obvious he wasnt the same QB.
But im not one of the people that are bailing on Stull yet. Im open minded and willing to give him a chance. Pitt has awesome Wideouts and Tight Ends and Dion Lewis is a stud. All he has to do is manage this offense. Hes got a big line for protection, he needs to relax sometimes.I think Stull can put together a solid season given he gets some more confidence.
Biggest game of the season for him is Saurday at Buffalo. He wont face a crowd that will be jumping on his back every play and he just can be himself. HUGE game confidence-wise for Billy Stull

Recent is less than 5 years? Where'd that rule come from? And besides, the anti-booing rule has been in effect since then. No booing, and no drinking in the parking lot at PSU games from kick-off til games end. Guess PSU fans are supposed to stay for the whole game and not "criticize" the team or players during the game. So much for the good old days.

And when exactly were the Pitt "good old days"..... in 1215 when they won their 847,356 national title, or the last time they finished in the top ten in ANY major poll? But hey, they are about to turn the corner right?

Since you started this topic, I noticed you haven't responded to the "BOOING" at Penn State over the years.

He's the only one that's managed to stay on topic. This is about Pitt fans booing. Not PSU fans.
And I don't consider anything outside of the last 5 years recent. I graduated high school in 2004. That didn't happen recently.
