I would think they're gonna be last or 7th. Louisville is pretty weak this year.

Syracuse right now is better than USF, Louisville, Rutgers, and UCONN. They may be just as good as WVU as well. Now will that result in finishing in the top 4 of the conference?

Looking at their schedule, I can see them beating WVU, USF, and Rutgers at home. I can see them beating UCONN and Louisville on the road. That gets them to 5 wins in the conference.

Just because they beat a Big Ten team doesnt put them in the upper echelon of the league. It isnt that big of an accomplishment.

I would rank the Big East in this order

1. Cincinnati....dont think the Big East gets respect? College Football News has the Bearcats playing Florida in the Championship.
2. Pittsburgh....They have been solid through 3 games. The opponents keep getting tougher but the D and running game have been great.
3. UConn....a Little surprised. They have a great defense that will keep them in every game and both RB's are good players. Their lack of Qb hurts them but the Baylor win was impressive and they lost to UNC on a holding call.
4. USF....They would be number 3 if they had not lost Grothe. But they do have a lot of athletes and Selvie is still a force on the Defensive side of the ball. Huge game with FSU this week.
5. WVU....They have experience and explosiveness. They are going to play better, They are the 2nd most talented team in the league.
6. Syracuse....the Orange have been competitive in 2/3 games thus far. they play a 1-AA team this week so they should be at .500 for the first time in a while
7. Rutgers....The Knights have been a let down, but they still have the same team that was picked towards the top. time for them to stop under achieving. Tom Savage's progression will make or break this team
8. Louisville....Once Petrino left, so did this program's credibility. Kragthorpe wont last much longer with the effort he has been giving. I dont see the Cards making much noise this season.

Syracuse at Heinz Field....doubtful...anything can happen this day and age a la USC but the likelihood isnt great.

Syracuse won't beat Pitt. But all I am saying is be careful how much you rip Syracuse because you made need to build a case for them later in the year for the credibility of the league.

I just researched some credibility....
Among BCS leagues.....ammount of losses to Non-BCS teams
1. Big East/SEC-0
2. Big Ten/Pac Ten-2
3. Big 12/ACC-5

How many Big East teams are ranked, and what's the margin of votes between #25 and Pitt?

Panthers are relishing that Rodney Dangerfield role...no respect; pull out any victory @ NC St & a very good season may well be a rollin' ......still reserving personal judgment on Stull, want to see how he fares in this hostile environment Sat.
