Quick question, does anyone know what the all time series is between Chestnut Ridge and Northern Bedford?

I don't know the exact numbers (HR does) but I'll bet NB has beaten CR twice as much over the years (or real close).

It's aprx NB 30, CR 15. That's really beatin' up on a school half your size!

? We didn't run it up on the hapless Blue Pirates. You did apparently. The analogy is that Ridge got the "boot" for doing the exact same thing.

I never really understood that whole situation w/ Ridge and the icc. Its not like they where all that dominant when they were in the icc anyway. They had a few nice teams there a few years back, but currently they would be a middle of the pack team.

Not so sure about the middle of the pack. If CR would play the same ICC schedule they played their final season this year, I am guessing they would only lose to Bellwood from the ICC. If memory serves me correctly they played Penns Valley, Bellwood, NBC, Everett, Claysburg, Tussey, and Williamsburg.

This year I would say Ridge is on the same level as Tussey, Everett, Glendale, NBC...
I would rate them behind Bellwood, Moshannon Valley and Mount Union.

We will never know. I think Ridge beats each of those teams you mentioned as being similar to them by 3 TD's. Just an opinion. This may be better to compare during the playoffs. I think the 3 West Pac teams (Windber, Township, and Berlin) Ridge played from D5 beats the 3 D5 schools from the ICC you have mentioned.

NB really got after it early on.
Agree or disagree is a matter of personal opinion but I can tell you the thinking has always been and will always be in the NB program to play starters at least one series in second half. It's a matter of conditioning. NB threw no passes and scored, then played JV QB with predominantly (but not all) starters on second possession. As JV's were being lined up and prepped to go in, Albright runs a 55 yd. TD run on the very first play of 4th Qtr. Of course it might not have mattered regarding the score because the Panther JV's ran up and down the field as well with Matt Sollenberger getting a FB dive on a 3rd and short for a 16 yd. TD run in last 2-minutes. Williamsburg did not substitute first except for some injuries they may have had and their coaches were not in the least bit upset after the game. I don't think anyone could have anticipated NB doing that to a team that had played C-K to the wire and defeated S.Huntingdon the week before. To call Williamsburg a horrible or hapless team going into that game is ridiculous.
Quelling another misnomer....and Southpaw knows better.....CR did not "get the boot because of running up scores." They were a product of a realignment process started by the mountain league, who refused to continue dual memberships (Bellwood, PV, Central) and forced all of those to make a choice.
When Bellwood opted to stay in the ICC, where they had been an original member of the league since the early 30's, it created an odd number.
C.Ridge was the obvious choice among the membership to drop from the realignment for the following reasons:
1. They had only been a member of the league for two brief stints....one in the 80's and again when they rejoined in early 2000's
2. They were the only remaining AA school..and the MAC had given them a schedule and placed them in the AA division of their league, as a safeguard pending Bellwood, PV, and Central's decision.
3. There was some resentment from D6 schools who felt Ridge was "good enough to play them in football" but would not play them in any other sport or even consider joining what was then, the Tri-Co. Wrestling league.
All schools in the conference voted to realign without C.Ridge except Everett (NO) and NBC (abstain)
NB and Everett have both checked into the availability of playing CR on ICC crossover dates bu getting the other divisions teams (Mo V, Glendale, WB) to play someone like BEA or Philipsburg has become impossible. Hopefully the county series can be resumed between these schools and Ridge at some point in time. I don't know where Tussey stands on this
