Give Durham a break. I dont think anyone ever said he was the next John Wooden, but from what I have seen he does a great job and is young. And dont get me wrong from my previous post, I think Dave R. is a good coach too. Between them they will be good for the monters.

Not exactly sure what happened, as I haven't been on here in a few days and the post was already deleted by then. However, just to clarify, my intentions with that particular section in the post were as follows.

Overall, the Hilltoppers should be ready to get back to the glory days with a great coaching staff and proper work ethic from the kids.

P.S. Thank you Johnstown for letting a coach like Ryan Durham go, so we could come and swoop him up into our program. We are looking forward to a season with him, Roman, and all of the assistant coaches.

Give WPIAL~Titan a break, it was obviously just a case of him misunderstanding my meanings. I haven't really heard of anyone assuming that Coach Durham will save Westy, but you can't blame him if he has been hearing things from other people. And to his credit, I was also one of the people who thought the return of Roman was just a rumor as well.

There's a pretty intense competition at the 1 spot, which usually leads to success. On one hand you have Rudnac, a player who started a few games last year, knocked down a bunch of shots, but seemed to have trouble with physicality and trying to do too much with the basketball. On the other hand you have sophomore Joe Glennon, who skipped out on his freshman season in order to play travel basketball. I haven't seen too much of Glennon due to the fact he didn't play Jr. High last year, but from what I hear the kid has a good head on his shoulders and makes good decisions with the ball. Even throw junior Aaron Miller into the mix (even though personally I think the kid makes basketball harder than it has to be).
I believe you forgot the multi-talented junior guard Dan Wolfe. When Dan is not standing in the corner waiting to shoot the lights out from beyond the arc or when he struggles to remember who is man is on defense, he is not too bad of a player and should compete for a starting job (on JV, at least).

You know we're nearing the beginning of the season when the Westmont kids start to post jokingly about one another...
