Like a work in progress. Alot of new varsity players. Big guy working off the rust. Good hustle and effort against probably the best team they will see all year. Off to Tyrone tommorrow.

I heard that Hollidaysburg and Johnstown scrimmaged over the weekend. From what I heard Johnstown was pretty much out of its league. Hollidaysburg won every quarter even while playing a lot of bench players. Johnstown was very sporadic and looked out of control the most part of the scrimmage. I think it could be the late start due to football, but there was absolutely no structure what so ever out there. That being said Hollidaysburg is very good and probably will win the conference. Oh yea even with State College and their standout player. So Hollidaysburg most likely caused the undisciplined play of Johnstown.

Will things at JHS will be any different this year? Roman had no control last year. Best of luck to coach Kobal getting these kids to listen and execute within a team framework. If he does---watch out AAA.

Discipline does not happen over night. So a week out from the season opener and your playing undisciplined is probably gives you a good idea of this season may be like. It takes several years and it starts at the youth level to establish a disciplined program.
I heard Westmont scrimmage Jeannette and didn't look so good.

I just love pronunciations of local last names. Coach's name is C-O-B-A-U-G-H. Nice guy, decent enough local player in his day, but I don't see him having any better an impact than DR did.

I hope Cobaugh is a better basketball coach than he is a defensive coordinator. If not the Trojans are in for a long season.
