2) For anyone to get on here and say that maybe he was ineligible is ridiculous seeing that he is among the top of his class in academics.
3) For you to say that these Johnstown kids will decline or stay the same as basketball players is one of the dumbest post on bleachercoaches. 7 kids on the team play A.A.U this year and will face some of the toughest competition on the East coast and that will surely get them better.
GET YOUR MIND RIGHT!
I sat next to the girlfriends mother at the game on friday and yes it was a cheerleading competition. I understand that his family did pay 700 dollars a couple weeks in advance for him to go. It was not a family vacation. That being said it wouldn't have made a difference if he was there or not, Johnstown can only score by stealing the ball and scoring in transition and York Surb handled the pressure.
You don't think having your starting point guard and number 2 scorer would make a difference??? It was a close game. He absolutely would have made a difference.

Previous posts last summer indicated that he was 19 at the beginning of this past season, so is he 18 going on 19, or19 going on twenty?

It doesn't matter how good the kid is or how old he is or how good his grades are -- he is finished as a college prospect as far as any respectable program is concerned. Do you think any respectable school would take a chance on a kid who abandons his teammates during state playoffs to see his girlfriend at a cheerleading competition? Or abandons his team to go on vacation with his family?
It's over.
