WOW!!! That will leave the Nits with FOUR roster spots open for 2010-2011, but only 3 scholarships open for next year, as Highberger got Buie's already.

According to Black Shoe Diaries, since those 4 basketball players have left the Penn State team, PSU has offered a scholarship to Kendall Durant, a 6'3" junior college point guard out of Weatherford, Texas. He originally committed to Virginia Tech during his initial recruitment in 2007, but FAILED to qualify academically and never enrolled there. Am I wrong, or wasn't everyone told that Penn State wanted NO part of admitting academically challenged athletes to their sports programs? Gee, they REALLY must be desperate at this point. How can they stoop that low?

If the kid's grades have improved, what's the issue? Does he have character problems? Was he denied by VT again or did he change his mind on the Hokies once he had to go to Weatherford?
