I most certainly would have watched it if it were UNC vs. Butler to root hard against UNC. The NBA has no appeal to me and the only time I watch it is when I think SportsCenter is on and it's actually the NBA broadcasts on ESPN.
I didn't mean for it to seem like you're a bad person because you didn't like that match-up 2 nights ago, I just found your reasoning kinda soft. That's all.
I felt that it was a very good championship game. Two top 10 teams playing one another for the Championship is about as much as you could ask for after a tourney of all the upsets and drama.

I guess I just expect more NBA talent in an NCAA Championship game, but there's no doubt two quality teams were playing that night. Some people probably watched it just because both teams actually played basketball the right way. They both played the type of basketball that wins championships, so I'm definitely not knocking that at all. I guess I just like to watch superstars play and this year's championship lacked that. The funniest thing for me is how people are trying to say this was the best championship game ever. Have they forgotten the Kansas vs. Memphis game that was just two years ago?

Or Valvano and NC State knocking off Houston, or Nova over Georgetown in '85, or MJ taking down the Hoyas Webber's TO vs. Carolina. Thats why this is the best playoff in all of sports and that was the last one.......Its inevitable its going to a 96 team format. Its still gloing to be great, but the 64/65 team format was PERFECT. It got the best teams, and made for the most excitement. Why mess with success? Funny the sport with the right system in place is changing it, and football still got the BCS?

I agree, Crimson. I hate when sports that have a great thing going mess with their system. Next year we are going to have #24 seeds. Why? I have no idea. No #16 seeds have ever won a game, so why is it expanding? We're going to have teams in the tournament that have lost like 13-15 games and didn't win their Conference Championship get in. I think it's stupid, but it wont stop me from watching.

I'd have guessed you guys would have already figured it out, but its bc teams like Butler make it to the dang finals. They DONT WANT Cornell or Butler winning that title! You have as much stubborn establishment in bball as in football. Do u really think alabama is okay w TCU winning a national title? Does the president of Texas really think that Northern Iowa is better than UT? NO!!!!! That's why they are expanding, to allow every ****ing team in the big conference to get into that ridiculous 900 team playoff. So, now, St Francis wins their conference and go in as a 24 seed behind 7000 teams who went .400 in the ACC. It is NOT just about media exposure and money, it is also GREATLY about keeping the haves and the have nots. It is NOT as fair as these idiots pretend, and now its even worse. Football is the biggest joke in any sport in any nation. Now bball is too.
