I heard that Nick Saban quit watching the "Blue-White Game presented by AAA" at halftime and began preparing for Duke, who the Crimson Tide plays AFTER Penn State.

According to the nit wits, spring game attendance is what makes a great team/program. What do they have to say about Alabama getting 40,000 MORE people at their game than the nitters??? Bama had almost as many people for their spring game as the nitters get for regular season games.

And how frustrating is it for the Nits, whose last 2 national TV appearances were debacles, the 20 point loss to Minnesota in the Big Ten Basketball Tournament, and whatever that was yesterday on ESPN2.

Read an article on BlueWhiteIllustrated today about the "Blue-White Game presented by AAA" written by Sean Fitz entitled "Grading the Lions". You can tell that the Nits are in trouble when the artlcle opens with "Let's be honest. How much can you really take out of the Blue White game?" Talk about covering your a$$.

Well Moldy, I'm guessing you watched the whole scrimmage, so you should know that the QBs looked a lot better once they settled down. Paul Jones also threw 2 of the Hardest passes for any QB to make, fades. Both were for TDs. Now, will joe even give Jones a chance to start? Absolutely not. But we'll save that rant for September.

Defensively I thought they looked better than I even expected, and I knew they'd be good.

The WRs are already being touted as the best in the B10 and a top unit nationally. Will they get them the ball?

OLine has me worried, but one good thing is that all those kids have a lot of experience.

As for you guys who "just don't get it", here's a quote about DT Marquis Wright.

"Though he didn't make a decision, he said that the Nittany Lions have moved to the top of his list. He said that atmosphere was amazing and that he was blown away by the fact that a spring game draws more than some schools for real games."

it seems like most of us here are of the opinion that academics should be the most important factor, but kids like the pagentry. He's in the majority when he gets impressed by that stuff. That's just the way it goes now, and I'm glad he liked his visit.

Talk all you want about Dion's reading level, TAE...

What about these Nit Scholars?

Floyd Wedderburn
Joe Jerevicious
Curt Enis
Anwar Phillips
Navorro Bowman

Oh that's right, academic PSU's standards were too high to take Shady McCoy, yet the behavioral standards were too low as Shady had no felonies on his record.

Dickerson was drafted behind Lavon Chisley, who's serving life without the chance for parloe, but ahead of program saviors like Anthony Morelli and Zack Mills.

Every one of those kids was accepted at a college that actually has academic requirements for incoming freshmen. Are we all not in agreeance that Dion Lewis is an amazing football player, far ahead of others on a football-maturity level. So isn't it a little bit strange that a kid who invited the Nike State College Camp, and the all-american high school combine in San Antonio, who broke records at the latter, only had one scholarship offer? There has to be more to his story, right? Turns out there is: his academics are beyond atrocious. But he'll get drafted and make more than any of us ever will, so who cares if he can spell his name.

What I am looking for is a cogent, coherent, logical explanation of the differences between the pre-collegiate academic performances of Dion Lewis and Shady McCoy as compared to Wedderburn, Enis, Phillips, Bowman, etc.?

I know I will be waiting a long time because you don't have one. I'll get some typical Nitter drivel about how Wedderburn was from Jamacia and struggled in school and with the language, blah-blah-blah...Heck, he and Navorro would have been quite a pair if they'd majored in Jamacian Herbology...

PSU may even want to create yet another football player major: Jamacian Herbology...It would combine plant agriculture, accounting, law, and business management. I'm sure there would be a study abroad component too...

Wait...Studying "a broad" would be Anwar Phillips and Stan Pringle.
