for one the Lewis brothers did not have one year of high school in the public school system.
also, the McCort '06 team did not realize how good they were untill later in the year, I mean come on the Offensive Line was massive, The Defense was as good as I ever seen in High School Football. Lewis and Barbin caried the load on Offense. If it werent for an injury plagued and questionable refereed game against Wilmington, They go on to play Jeanette and I think they have as good of a shot as any.
I was 12 years old and in the 6th grade when the Forest Hills team of 2002 was playing, I need to get a little refreshed on what this team was about. I'm not sayting your wrong or anything, I'm sure they were a great High School Football team. I just don't remember.
The 2001 team was pretty stacked, and they were a dang good team, and I still rate the '06 team higher then this team that made it to the Western Finals. They had a good QB in Arcurio, solid running game with Forgas, and reliable Wideouts with Schrey and Regula. Not to mention a Huge offensive line and tackling machines at Linebacker, and an all state kicker too in Matt Domonkos. Hard to better this team.

You are right in saying that the Lewis brothers did not attend public schools during their high school careers. Shawn left for McCort for his freshman year in highschool. Now not to start a recruiting debate but it was only Shawn who left, Scott and the younger Lewis stayed at FH. Now if that doesn't raise a red flag then I do not know what does. Scott then left for McCort for his freshman year along with his younger bro.
Another thing, if you think their D was the best D you have ever seen then you have not watched very much highschool football. They let up around 9.5 points a game. Which is the most important stat in high school football. Just last year FH D let up only around 7 and I am not ignorant enough to annoint them anywhere near the top of the great D's in the history of the area. I can't even find numbers on the 2002,1993 and 1994 teams which are probably right on par with this past years FH teams.
What does saying McCort had a massive O line have to do with anything? FH that year alone had just as big if not a bigger O line then McCort did. You can't make an arguementfor a team being the best because of their size alone.
When you do these types of lists you can't play the what if game. You can't blame the refs or injuries an you also can't say the kids didnt perform to their potential. You have to make the list off of how they performed and it already looks like you played the what if game with your comments.

I mean I've been alive less then 20 years and less then half of them I've been watching football with an understanding of what's going on, so there you are right. It was a nice try to make it seem like I don't watch football, but i do. Just don't have the years under my belt.
This year's Forest Hills team played such a weak schedule, no wonder they only gave up 7 a game. That average would have been a little higher if McCort was on the schedule.
I'm not making a case for size alone, But when a HS Defensive Line for a AA school runs at 6"3 330 and 6"2 230 at the Tackle spots and the Defensive Ends go at 6"4 275 and 6"2 220, That does become a factor.
I'm not playing the what ifs, that team is good. Realllll good.
But if we do want to play what ifs....What if 2006 McCort had Abdullah Wadley? What if 2006 McCort went up 13-0 instead of a penalty being thrown 15 yards down the field after the TD was scored against Wilmington? What if Matt Varga wasn't injured most of the year? What if Lewis Kawchak and Seidel don't get hurt against Wilmington?
That is what the "What if" game is all about.
But another thing, I asked what was so good about the 2002 Rangers? You were too busy trying to start new subtopics

Crimson you talk alot of game. Did you actually set foot on a football field in high school or were you the End-Guard-Tackle?

Crimson, Forest Hills line was bigger then BM's that year. This is the second time I said this. Once again it means nothing at all how big they are.
If you want to play the What If game again. What if McCort's recruiters didnt land the Lewis family and BM didn't win a game all season and went 0-10. See we can all play this game too.
The thing that was so good about the 2002 Rangers was that they ran through their competition. They beat BM 40-10 in the D6 AA Championship. Then they beat Brockway I believe something like 49-7. Their weakest spot on the field was probaby at QB and that was only bcause Kudlawic was a sophmore.

First off when did i compare McCort '09s schedule to Forest Hills schedule this year? I didnt I know Forest Hills schedule was better. I said they wouldve had a higher average points given up because this year's LHAC was the worst all decade and the 2 best teams didn't get to meet.
Good try making a point, but come on guys you guys are the stupid ones. Fhrollz just go home.
Ehh they beat a fairly average McCort team, wouldn't hang my guns on that win.
