You act like you never heard of him and he is this 2 star nothing. You nitters can deny all you want. When he got to psu his speed had everyone forgetting Curtis (I need a tutor) Enis.

This whole thread just shows the difference between Penn State fans and Pitt fans on being objective.

A Pitt fan makes a post about a Penn State television show and Penn State fans agree with them. A Penn State fan makes the same point about a Pitt radio show and Pitt fans go off about Penn State and Ron Cook.

Ron Cook may be the only person on 93.7 that tells it like it is. That's why Pitt fans love to hate him. I mean the team plays in one of the least respected conferences in America and just won 10 games for the first time in 30 years. The rest of the boneheads on the fan act surprised and shocked that Baldwin and Lewis are not leading Pitt to an undefeated season.

Ehh not soo much, Cook loves to hate on Pitt. He's not the best. Nice guy though, He was at a tailgate I was at for the Pitt-Navy game at some house in Annapolis...He was a good guy to talk sports with and used my dad's idea for an article he wrote. Good Guy. Just doesn't like Pitt all that much.

I've yet to see a Pitt article by Cook that wasn't based in Reality. Pitt fans don't like him because he tells it like it is. Today on the fan they are having callers phone in and say who they think is better Pitt or Penn State. One caller said he thinks Penn State's dline is better than pitt's. Cook disagreed.

Pitt fans hate Cook because he says the Big East is not a strong conference and Pitt's attendance is poor. Is he saying that because he hates Pitt or because they are facts? I've seen him rip Penn State and Joe Paterno plenty. It's not because he hates them it's because he looks at things objectively.

My cable package back home has Pittsburgh's CW and the Subway Nightly Sports call in which Ron Cook is usually on. From that show, I find him as a very objective sportswriter. His popularity may suffer due to him saying how he really feels about things. His best work is with the Pirates. He does a real good job of being a realist with Pirate fans that are obviously frustrated.
