I said the number one ranked team in the nation should be Ohio State. They are ranked number one. What I dont get is how, during games and in the off season, all we hear about is how much experience a team is returning, and how much of a factor game experience is. Then, when the first polls come out... A team with 10 new defensive starters trumps Ohio State. That doesn't add up.

I havent even looked at the AP polls or anything since the preseason.

Does being ranked #1 in the Coach's poll or AP poll really mean anything if you aren't ranked top 2 in the BCS standings? Serious question.

Are the rankings out yet? We are assuming Boise is number one. By the end of the year, even if they win out, they will not be. It sucks for them, in a way, I guess, but they are being heralded against teams who could never be more than 3-9 versus an SEC schedule. I dont agree with it. But that team, in this system, has no business being in that title game unless everyone else has 2 losses.

What if Texas A&M left the Big XII and went udnefeated next season in Conference USA? Should they be in the title game?

We both know Texas A&M couldn't go undefeated in any conference.

deliverance wrote:1. Oregon - They just continue to roll and put up a lot of points. I think they're the best team in College Football right now.
2. Boise State - I'll give Boise the nod over Ohio State right now. It's a shame they have no big games the rest of the year.
3. Ohio State - Pryor passed for over 300 yards on Saturday. If he can keep that up, look out. Ohio State may just run the table.
4. Nebraska - I was shocked by the thrashing they gave a decent K-State team on the road.
5. Oklahoma - I think we'll get a better feel on how good OU is in two weeks when they play at Mizzou. I don't think they can beat Nebraska right now.
6. Auburn - Cam Newton is an absolute stud. Chizik has his boys playing really well.
7. Alabama - I didn't think they could run the table and, well, I was right. I doubt they lose again the rest of the year, though.
8. LSU - Is Les Miles a genius? I have no idea, but all the guy does is find a way to win.
9. Michigan State - Michigan State just keeps winning. They have a nice run game. Will they fold at the end of the year like they typically do? We'll see.
10. Utah - This team is better than most people think. I know I wouldn't want to have to play against them.

The rest...
11. South Carolina
12. Arkansas
13. Stanford
14. Florida State
15. Arizona
16. Oklahoma State
17. Wisconsin
18. Iowa
19. Nevada
20. Missouri
21. West Virginia
22. Michigan
23. Air Force
24. Oregon State
25. Texas
TCU?

Wow, good call. I'm not sure how I missed them. Knock Texas out and put TCU at #5. Slide everyone else down one.
