Re: Conemaugh Valley
There are roughly 425 kids in CV's High School. Grades 7-12 - That's 85 kids per grade. Estimated.
Re: Conemaugh Valley
my bad, but portage is still one of the bigger schools. didn't know CV was that high. What's their problem then?

no reason to get so defensive. it was just a mistatementGreenMachine wrote:12HangQB you DO know that Portage doesn't graduate NEAR what North Star and Windber does right? Portage graduates on average 70 to 80 kids TOPS, a year. Someone can fill me in on Windber and North Star's graduation numbers, also the rest of the numbers in the WestPac unless they've drastically all declined down to our level? Last time i saw the statistics Portage was pretty much in the middle in class sizes in the conference.

Portage is 318 total enrollment. I didn't find the numbers for boy/girl ratio.

Re: Conemaugh Valley
And these are the reasons why the Portage's/Windber/North Star teams are usually good every year. It is not an excuse just for the smaller schools. Being able to have say 184 boys vs say Berlin with 115 is big. That is 70 more kids. The more kids you get to choose from the better you will usually end up, especially in the area we live in.

Re: Conemaugh Valley
12HankQB I wasn't getting defensive sir just was stateing that we're not as big as most people would think or like us to be lol I am looking at those numbers though and wondering what grades they include? Is that just 9th - 12th? Just curious because portage has 8th grade in their high school and didn't know if they add all the students that are housed inside the physical "High School". On a side not i'm ASTONISHED on how low Meyersdale numbers are, i remember when they were a double AA school if i remember correctly or at least had A LOT more students than Portage.
