There should be some good coverage on a few JV games on Monday too. I'd stop down at the local pub, rip some shots to make sure I was warm and then head on down to the game to support the local scout team...

Ha Ha the last time Portage and Juniata Valley played in the playoffs it was in a driving rain storm/mud bog and the PA Announcer kept apologizing because our uniforms are so simiar (Both Kelly Green/White) and our helmets are painted exactly the same(Body Green/Facemask White) that he couldn't tell which team was which or who had the ball through all the muck and water lol JV won that game 6 - 0 on a fumbled snap that the QB then picked up and ran down the sideline for like a 45 yard TD.

over mccort/bellwood? i think not. two teams that don't like each other, played at mansion last year and played the district title game in the semis in 2008. and bellwood has got a score to settle mccort has got a championship to defend it'll be one hell of a game

wasnt there a thursday game this year because of some holiday with like westmont or johnstown or something like that. i would be interested in hearing from some of those kids who played that game. remember playing basketball you are out of there like at 8:30 with football, the kids get the crap knocked out of them and after celebrating, walking back to locker rooom, showering, getting patched up. the home team is usually out of there around 10 and the visitors probably 11 it would be interesting to have a thursday friday and saturday game in the first round of the playoffs, as a fan it would be great watching 3 games but in general i dont think its good in regular season but, like i said would like to hear what some of those players thought of playing on thursday.

yes westmont played johnstown on a thursday this year because of a Jewish Holiday, i forget the name of it. but i can tell that i personally wouldn't have been a big fan of playing on a thrusday, mainly like you said you get knocked around for a couple hours then go get showered up and patched up, after the game you wanna go out with your friends but on a thursday wouldnt have time because of school, school the next day would be just a drag because you'd be so tired. plus i always loved the whole awh a mistique of playing under the friday night lights call me crazy if you want but i loved it

A Thursday night game would be something out of the ordinary for both of the schools, i think it would be a exciting way to kick off the playoffs for these teams.. And I think mccort will beat bellwood, crushers always find a way to make a run and have a shot at the district championship

i agree mccort always finds a way to win in the playoffs and make a run, they always find someway to mansion. a perfect example in 2005 in the semis they had to go to tyrone and not many people gave them a chance and they pulled it out in ot. i hope they make a run and win another d6 title, but just dont know if they'll do it this year
