Jealousy is not healthy.hornets69 wrote:Now, everyone from the public schools needs to boycott the game. let mccort and carroll play to their 200 fans on each side and district 6 will suffer at the gate. maybe if this happens a few years, something will change.
i would be curious to know what kind of arrangement the district has with altoona for use of the field. is it a percentage of the gate? a rental fee?
if the powers that be are smart, they better make it an afternoon day game. they might not be able to pay the light bill. haha
Re: Saturday Night Scores
I bet it will be next Saturday night.
Friday night will be Forest Hills vs. Tyrone.
I usually attend all the finals. I won't go to that one. Not that anyone from either school cares.
The AA final will be great. Homegrown talent going at it in front of their communities for all the marbles.
3 private schools are in district 6 class A. Two of them are in the finals. I guess it is just a coincidence.

Re: Saturday Night Scores
gotta give portage credit they hung with mccort much better then i expected, crushers made alot of mental mistakes tonight that along with cooper getting picked in the end zone kept mccort from winning by 2 or 3 scores. but give portage credit they hung tough all night. now its time for the battle of the bishops at mansion next saturday!!

Let 'em play on the field behind BG, it's a neutral field.

According to the guy on the radio , Dudukovich had 278 yds before coming out. 13-7 late in 3rd b4 the big guy broke another big one, 19-7 after 3, after stopping a cat drive, Dudukovich busted one down to the 1 before punching it in midway in the fourth.

I'm sure they know someone to get that done.

Re: Saturday Night Scores
I'd be interested to know how much rent the Bishops pay for The Point, Mansion Park, and St. Francis! It must be a small fortune!
Re: Saturday Night Scores
I'll bet there's some kind of sweetheart deal involved. I always wondered if BM ever paid for use of Roxbury Park as their practice field all those years before they used the Point. I mean did the Crushers use a public recreation facilty for their practice sessions for free or for very little money?
