Uhhh not at all. Both are further along then the Fab 6 were during their freshmen year. Unbiased as can be. watched them play as freshmen, "the fab 6" and don't get me wrong thats a very solid freshmen team and they have turned out to be pretty good varsity players. Alkwan is physical. Watson can really play and Brandon has grown up a lot. Hasselrig has the athleticism, needs work on strength. Madison is a tough little guard. But I see much more potential from the two McCort freshmen. They are more polished. Just my call. Time will tell whose the better group. But both players as freshmen should a lot of poise in a big game atmosphere, and will pay dividends down the line.

The Jtown boys boys decided to stay together in 9th grade rather than move up and its playing dividends now. Hipp and Nemo will be good but lets face it...this is a football town and you have two options when you graduate if your a bball player UPJ or St. Francis.

What elsec is in their grade? Are there any other decent players? Because if not getting them quailty varsity minutes and experiance will help them out in the future. Heck maybe even next year with them two starting alon with Keith, Wilson and varga/ spangler. that could be a team that goes some where.

Vigneault chucks. It's easy to score 30 when you take that many shots...he is a good FT shooter though.

He has to shoot as much as he does because the rest of his team is not very good at all

JHS team and McCort frosh share a common theme -- ALL ARE SERIOUS AAU PLAYERS. this is what distinguishes them from their peers. You can pick these kids out instantly. JHS will make a run probably next season as long as they can keep their core committed and playing all summer. Fabulous athletes. They also receive excellent coaching at the HS level. Coach does a fantastic job with his team.

McCort will contend for the state title in 2 years BUT ONLY IF they can get serious committment from more than the two frosh. If some others can be convinced to commit and play AAU ball the next 2 summers they are a lock for the western final and probably the Jordan Center. If not, they will have a tough time outside of the area because although AA ball is not real competitive, once out of Mayberry there are some good teams statewide. You can't beat these teams with just 2 committed kids who have faced stiff AAU competition and know how to handle competitive situations. And you cannot get this type of experience playing LHAC basketball. But seeing how some in the area seems to view hoops as a contest to see how far you can go and how much press you can garner with doing the least amount of work -- this could be a tough one.

Mccort has the competent, energetic, hard charging coach. This gives them a big advantage. They just need a little more committment from some of their kids so they can realize their potential.
