if you're going to put families that consist of two brothers on this 'list' such as gibbons, thomas, and krupa, you're darn right i'm serious about the Fricks. look up some of Eric's stats.....and Nick was great also. maybe not the greatest of attitudes sometimes, but those dudes could wrestle!

True. They were as good of a brother tandem as any.

Sorry I thought family line consisted of more than just two brothers. Eric won a state title while attending school at Hollidysburg. Nick didn't win anything other than 1 district 6 title and placed at states.....4th.

If you want the real Frick family................look at district 11's Nazareth.

I think to be considered a "great" wrestling family it has to involve at least 3 or more members and they have had to had something noteable to accomplish. Like a state medal or 100 wins. Some of the families people have mentioned were good but never did anything spectacular.

Oddly enough for as much success as they've had Bedford has only had 3 pairs of brothers that each won districts at least twice in the last 40 or so years - the Goulds in the 70s (I think 3, 2 & 1), the Koontz's in the 90s & the Gibbons brothers. Plus soon they'll be joined by this generation of Easters.

For North Star I'd also mention the Millers and Kaltenbaughs, though they might not reach the Captin's standards.

Don't forget the Matsko brothers from Boswell/North Star. From Bedford, there were the Shatzer brothers (twins Wayne and Warren and younger brother Dennis) and the Beegle brothers (Sam and Steve)...and don't forget the Allen family. I'm dating myself here.
