The three refs who worked that game have pulled themselves out of the tournament. They said they did it for "best interests of the tournament and their colleagues."

one might be naive to believe they voluntarily pulled themselves.....i believe they were told they were voluntarily removing themselves from rest of torney!

In your sentence, there is no capital in butcher.
