Everybody has family members who have fought and died for this country. We dont need to rally around the flag to prove points.

He IS an alledged culprit. Was he tried? No. Do I personally believe he had a major impact on the attacks? Yes. Am I glad he is dead? Yes. But there's also just as much info that the "mastermind" behind 9-11 (KSM) is and has been in Gitmo since 2008, and that bin Laden was NOT the mastermind but was the financier. It doesnt matter either way. Both were taken care of, we have taken care of them both.

Mendenhall was a first round pick, it was a steal for us to get him at 25 or whatever it was he never should have fell that far hes going to put up huge numbers and I want it to be in Pittsburgh. You put an Isaac Redman, or Jonathan Dwyer behind that offensive line and were struggling to run the ball plain and simple. And this team has a hard enough time protecting Ben as is, if teams know were going to throw and can pin their ears back and go after Ben were in trouble. And what Ben was accused of doing is a hell of a lot worse then anything Mendenhall has done and Ben is still here. But Eagle I'm sure your one of the people who were calling for Ben's head last year, but then were praising him when he got us to the Super Bowl this year right?

nope still don't like him. I have always been proud of the "character guys" the black and gold trot on the field.....neither of those 2 qualify. these are different times, but I don't have to like it.

Call me crazy but am I the only one that does not give a rats a$$ about this nor did about the whole Ben thing nor the Tiger thing, and so on. This people have personal lives with their own issues and opinions. If anyone gets charged with a crime, then yeah it's time for the team to step in with discipline. I guarantee if any of us had camera's and new reporters following our lives like they do professional athletes, they would find just as many flaws. I love how people always act like they live these perfectly rounded lives and then these athletes are garbage. If I gave you the money and popularity of these athletes, many of you would make the same mistakes. When I watch professional sports, I watch to be entertained by good athletes. After that, I don't give a ****.

I care about having good character guys too, thats one of the reasons why if I was a GM I never would have drafted Cam Newton, but Ben was never found guilty on any charge and Mendenhall has committed no crime.

No your not alone, I've always said if people hated athletes for off the field issues they'd hate every athlete there is.

Its not just that. Personally it is the fact that many people in the world have issues. ESPN, Yahoo Sports, SI, ect. don't make the lives of these athletes any easier by blasting the public with things that are some serious personal issues for athletes. If my life was put under a microscope like some of these pro athletes are I am sure they would find flaws in it, as well. Am I saying that I have done anything comparable to Ben, Tiger, or Mendenhall, No. I am sure, however, I have views or ideas that are not general accepted across all of society. Nobody knows what problems these players face off the field. I try my best not to be one that judges others. If that is Mendenhalls views, then fine. They sure as hell aren't mine but if every in this world shared the same opinions it would be quite dull. Not to drag Ben or Tiger into this issue but I find in comparable from the fact that I don't care. I don't want athletes to be my role models or even model citizens but rather just someone to perform well and enjoy being some of the best at their crafts in the world.

Eagle, you'll be happy to know Mendenhall lost his endorsement deal with Champion.
