I agree, they are lacking the big center again and will have green players in at the 4,5,6,and 7 spots where the last couple years they had depth. Township will beat them.

Twp, Shade and Valley will be the top three teams in the West Pac this year. Shade will be young starting 3 juniors 1 sophomore and probably a senior that hasn't played much. Speigle will be a force this year assuming he makes it through Football season healthy and will be the top senior in the County and will be the 2011 -2012 MVP.

This year in the west pac should be interesting with the move of the Walkers' to Shade. Still alot of good hoop players in the Pac.

North Star: Soberdash and Strassier will have to carry the load since the Walker Bros. move. We'll see what Coach Loya can do with this kind of hit on his program. He has won alot of games in the past.

CT: Boyer,G.Speigle, and D.Zambanini will carry this team as one of the top squads out of the North.

CV: Uncapher,Furman, and J.Roberts return from last years playoff team to be one of the early Favs as well in the North.

Portage: Bryja,Scoran, and Kreutzberger return from last years squad.

Windber: Pipon and Mock

BV: Cesarz and Sheesley return from last years playoff team.

Ferndale: Eisenhuth and Mason to led the way for the Jackets.

the South
Shade: Fyock,W.Walker,N.Walker,and Medva look to be the Fav out of the South.

Berlin: Lynch and Cooney return.

Shanksville:Slade,N.Bittner, and Duppstadt hope to sneak up on people in the South.

Salisbury: A.Beiler and Miller return from last years squad.

Meyersdale:Moser,Donaldson,Luster, and Monroe hope to build on last yr.

Rockwood: E.Keefer,S.Gary,and L.Miller return

I'm hearing the NS program will be loosing more than the Walkers. What I was told was not many players that got minutes or came off the bench are going out for this years team. Anyone else hearing this?

Why would anyone think that NS would be competitive with or without Strasiser. Loya is one the of the most incompetent coach this county has ever known. Does anyone know his coaching history throughout the county?

My take is that NS will 11 games this year if Straisser plays and win 4 games if he doesn't. And it will only get worse in years to come because Loya has no feeder program in place. Lean times a head for NS in Basketball.

Although only both juniors Sheeshley and Cesarz are Blacklick Valleys team this year and are the real deal. Cesarz is a big inside prescence and Sheeshley is a good point guard shooting from the perimeter. Cesarz can also shoot from the outside. If they get some help from the rest of the team look for BV to raise a few eyebrows this season.
