Coach Franco went 40-47 at Altoona. Folks were grumbling because he won one district title in 8 years. Not a big AAAA field to conquer in District 6. I love John Franco and sing his praises. I lived in Altoona during his Mt. Lion coaching era, and I grumbled. I even said things on the radio about a coaching change. Franco has put together a program at Tyrone and deserves mad love. Ed Dalton came in and had a great run at Altoona. I hope Franco gets a second ring saturday.

Nobody disputed his record at Altoona, it is what it is. If someone wanted to make a change that's always a solution. I'm pretty sure Qbcoach13 was referencing numerous childish, petty, and idiotic things that were pulled, during and since, his tenure there on a more personal level. You may be able to ask Dalton or one of your buddies that may have listened to your "grumbling" on specifics.

Didn't Dalton get ran out of town for failing to win a state championship?

There are 588 high school football teams in Pa. You do not get fired for failing to win state titles. There would be 584 job openings if that was the case.
