Believe me the Titan's fans do not need free hot dogs to pack a gymnasium. Bailey won number 698 today in overtime at Richland. That sets up number 700 at Ridge in Jan. 6. With an expected win against McBurg first. Anybody wanting to see that milestone better be in Fishertown early!!

I did play for him for three years and would dive for a loose ball for him right now if he asked me too. I won't defend all his actions on the court over the years (i'm sure he'd tell you he regrets some of them) but I will tell you I've seen first hand what he has done outside the realm of basketball for his players. When I played for him he let the 12th man on his bench (on a 12 man team), a senior, with no father figure, and a very tough upbringing, take his brand new Firebird (a beautiful car in it's day) to the Senior prom. No questions asked, just volunteered to let a kid who barely played for him use it.

That is just one example of several that I personally know of where Coach has gone above and beyond for his kids. Why do you think they all grow up, knowing how hard he'll be on them, dying to play for him? The same reason I did, because you know he'll push you to do things you didn't know you could do and success will follow. It almost always has for him and his team. I wish his theatrics wouldn't take away from what a fantastic coach he is but I also know that is part of the package with him. I knew it would be before I played for him (and that was before he has mellowed over the years) and it sure as heck never hurt me. He taught me a lot of life lessons that I pass on to my players now that I coach (minus the Ts of course).

This is a long post and I didn't mean for it to be. I'll close by saying Congratulations to Coach Bailey for win #700, no matter when it happens. I can't be in Fishertown to see him go for it but will be hoping he gets it there. It was great to play for him and those are some of the fondest memories of my life. Here's to 800 Coach............

Coach B might get a little emotional at times while coaching but that is the passion the man brings to the game. How bout the times he has bought clothes and shoes for some of the kids at Tussey who were in need. I have been told of the kindness and compassion this man has shown kids who really needed a father figure. Plus he can flat out coach basketball.

This is directly from the supporters of Bobby Knight playbook. "But what about all the good things he does" was always used to counter his horrible displays as a human being.

Show me the coach that does all those "great" things and DOESN'T act like a total lunatic while coaching and that is the guy I'll support.

I will say I've only been to a hand full of games that he was coaching but that was enough for me.

Nonsense is the best word I can come up with watching him during a game. That being said, if the people at TM love him and they are the ones that have to deal with him, so be it.
