How important ARE wins and losses? There are 345 Division I basketball teams. Murray State's strength of schedule is ranked 286th. They are 21-0. Guess wins ARE important, right? And if wins are so important, why is Boise State criticized every year for their football schedule being so weak? Shouldn't wins in football mean EVERYTHING too, like in basketball?

Joe Lunardi(who is rarely wrong) said if Murray State finished out with a 30-0 record and won their tournament, they would be no higher then a 5 seed. SO that is saying without question that 20 teams with less wins then them are flat out better then the Racers.
Wins are nice, but quality wins are a lot nicer.

We're gonna go by SOS*Wins-OOC Losses+Team Uniform Color/Travel Miles = Number of days of sun on university last year (Visits by **** Vitale + Number of breathe mints Digger Phelps used on your campus) / White boys on team.
That's real classy.

From the opening sentence under this topic started by abpk2903: "I really don't really follow much college basketball outside of the tournament or Big Ten play...."
