Exactly what are you fishing for Moldy? You are unbelievable. In your dellusional world you are hoping that the kid did something wrong not to get the scholarship. You enjoy any failure, real or perceived, in any student athlete that doesn't wear those ugly green and yellow colors.
Whether it was the previous coach promised too many scholarships or the new coach wanted to go in a different direction, does it really matter? This kid is going to a D1 school and more importantly get a top notch education.
Continue to sit there and hold out some hope for some sort of "scandal" that caused this. We all know that's what you want and are hoping for. Unfortunatley for you, just like in life, you lose again. You sir are an a$$hole.
Congratulations to all area student-athletes continuing their careers and education at the next level.

I would not want to be Chryst. His main recruiting area has become pretty weak as far as numbers of true D1 kids is concerned. That is precisely why Graham left.
Heck, WVU did not even sign a single kid from Western PA. NOT ONE??!!!??? What does that tell you? This has never happened before.
The sad fact is that western PA football overall is just terrible. Sure there will ba a few kids here and there that will be D1 players and even some stars from time to time. But it is OVER in Western PA as far as large scale competitive football is concerned.... at least for now.
As soon as Chryst realizes how weak his recruiting base is, he will be gone too.

Not sure exactly what you mean Psycho. If you go to the updated PFN signee page, there are close to 30 Div 1 signees from western pa...Outside Tex,Cal.,Fla,and Ga most states don't get that many d1 kids and that's just d-5/6/7/8/9/10. MaYBE wvu hasn't signed anyone because OSU,MSU,Wisconsin,Northwestern, and Maryland have all plucked western PA talent from them.

Definitely gotta side with Psycho on this one. the area is really not even close to what it once was. OSU no signees from western pa, PSU - I believe 1, wisconsin a few, arizona - 1, maryland -1, uconn-1, iowa-1, msu - 1, NW-1…then a bunch from pitt and thats all as far as BCS is concerned. what does that say whenever pitt gets all the guys and the others pick here and there. Don't get me wrong I love Pitt and love this area but things have changed. Interesting how the state of ohio mostly cincy and the NE has lost so much of it's population in the past few decades like western PA but they still churn out BCS players and apparently next year its supposed to be their best in years----expecting around 130 BCSs next year. I spent a lot of time in ohio and around their football and you get a MUCH different feeling about the overall state of things there.
I do think that someone can still win big at PITT who is dedicated as hell, who stays long and who broadens their recruiting area..even though its gunna be tough going against meyer, holgorsen, o'brien etc..

The difference between Ohio, which continues to produce large numbers of BCS calibre athletes and PA, especially western PA which does not, is that about 10 years ago Ohio promoted competitiveness in it's high schools by instituting a VOUCHER system. Most "outlying" rural counties (like cambria and somerset counties) have only 2-3 decent size public school districts, as opposed to the 15 piss ants we have ariound here. The Catholic schools are busting at the seams because kids can't get out of the Ohio public schools fast enough. Cincy and Cleveland Catholic schools have increased enrollment dramatically and some are adding to their physical plants. Moeller, Elder, St. X -- all have highest enrollments ever.
Bottom line, when u have less but larger schools there is competition since not everyone makes the team, is in the school play, is on National Honor Society, is in Homecoming Court -- like most public schools in western PA. When you have bigger schools being on the team is not an "entitlement".
