Don't sleep on Burrell. Believe it or not, this is not the same team that Berlin pounded earlier in the year. They are starting to get healthy and clicking at the perfect time. While this isn't the Burrell team we are used to seeing, they are legit and belong at the State tournament. I believe they will prove their worth in the wrestlebacks. Their first round match-up with Pen Argyl should be very interesting. I think Pen Argyl will beat them and then beat Bedford in the next round, but I've been wrong millions of times. Time will tell.

I agree. Depending on how the brackets fall they have a chance to do well. Bedford has a history of wrestling pretty well once they get down to the duals. Having a winning record there is a pretty good accomplishment (10-8). I think they are the favorite in their first match and underdog in the likely quarterfinal match. I would not be surprised to see them reel off a few wins in the consy's then. They definately had to battle just to get out of the D-5 duals which normally would not be a good sign. But D-5 is very deep this year. CR has improoved greatly as the year has gone on and no doubt could have made some noise at the state level themselves. My guess Bedford wins atleast 2 matches @ hershey. Which would give them another top 8 finish. Which I think they have accomplished each of the last 4 years?? But they could win more.

I agree. 2-2 for Bedford this year (and the best showing of our 3 local teams in Hershey).

Bedford wrestled pretty well today. M. Brett had a real big win for Bedford over Conner Rosensweet. (26-2) Brett pinned him.

Overall rest of the match went pretty much as expected. Dudek also had a nice win.

Pen Argyl roster is below. A few items of note - I believe that Sutton @ 106 was DQed @ D11s & is out for Hershey. Meyers wrestled 106 today and won. Pen Argyl finished 16th @ KOM, while Bedford was 14th. Stoelzl pinned Dudek, Racciato pinned Martin, and Evans was pinned by Brett. And Brett pinned Evans the year before that @ KOM as well.

Meyers Philip 106 4-9
Sutton Gabe 106 20 - 6
Guerro Patrick 113 0 - 4
Knapik Tyler 113 16 - 17
Williams Matt 113 18 - 4 OTM #5, DS #4
Sutton Andrew 126 17 - 16
Burriesci Stephen 132 2-5
Lobb Ryan 132 3-12
Stoelzl Jarett 138 15 - 12
Racciato Michael 145 33 - 1 OTM #2, DS #2,
Rabenold JD 152 16 - 11
Kutzler Kyler 160 19 - 13
Holden Jeffrey 170 7-12
Evans Dylan 182 25 - 5 OTM #6, DS #6
Salamone Andrew 195 11-9
Mutton Brady 220 26 - 9 OTM #11
Mutton Kirby 285 30 - 5 OTM #7, DS #8

Not having Sutton really hurts Pen Argyl. I still think they can beat Bedford without him. It should be a close match either way. I don't think Brett will pin Evans if they were to hook up again, but who knows? Best of Luck to Bedford, Mount Union, and West Branch today.
