Actually, the Tribune is seeking a new sports editor.

Promote Isenberg. She can't get a simple score right Bishop Canevin 47, Villa Maria 30 (It was the other way around). Makes a difference to folks planning their day to go to the next game as to where it will be played. If it had been Canevin, it could have been IUP, back at Hempfield, or somewhere in the Greensburg-Pittsburgh area. Now, since it's Villa Maria, and the game is @ Clarion, that's a travel difference of an hour or more each way. Doesn't matter because nobody travels like the Ranger nation. Thanks anyway, C.I.

Manfred, at least now your lady rangers have the chance to get several editions of the Tribune sports section (and a fill color pull out section) devoted to their conquests if they beat Villa or Canevin or whichever Catholic school they are playing. Isenborg did it for Northen Cambria when they beat McCort. The special 12 page pull out section commemorating and devoted to the epic triumph of the Northen Cambria girls hoops team was awesome. It was the most coverage ever devoted to any sporting news story ever in the history of the Greater Johnstown area. I am sure she'll do the same for the lady public school rangers if they beat the hated Catholic recruiters at Villa.

If they lose then i am sure she can throw in the phrase "public school champs" a couple times for you.

If Delone had not lost to Montrose by two it would have been an all Catholic girlls AA final four.
