Congrats to the players and coaches of McCort. I tend to side that they should not get to play A classification but they do and they get away with it. They won within the rules that are presented to them. There are other private A schools with the same advantages as McCort and they beat all of them as well. I just dont think a school within 10 miles of over a 100,000 person population should be in the same classification as Hyndman, Williamsburg, Shanksville, and such. The honorable thing to do would be play up a classification or two but as we find out by watching the nightly news Catholics tend to think the entire population should have to play by their rules.

Maybe a better description of the private school situation would be - they play within the rules they have heavily influenced over the years.

Crimson's Ghost wrote: Not often a D6 Team plays for any Team State Championship. I think Homer Center and Somerset are the most recent local teams to play for the Gold in Baseball. I think McCort has a very good chance to bring it home. They are solid 1-9, and Cooper and Vardian have been great on the mound. Montgomery has a few good pitchers, so it will be a game.
Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Perhaps you meant "Not often does a LHAC team play for a state championship"...
