You're an idiot for the McCort thing. McCort is by no means a single A school. They're atleast AA or AAA without the population. They have an advantage of only having good athletes at their school because all the sucky kids stay at public school. Definitely a rookie mistake on your behalf
I think this is just an excuse t you. McCort is playing like a 4th best team in D6 right now. LHAC looks weak this year

Not an insult anywhere in my post. That is strike two on the reading comprehension.

If you want an insult Ill give you one. The three most arrogant, pompous, you-know-what coaches in the area are Beiter, Gouse, and Brandon Bailey. Having that in common with LV I would think you'd have a soft spot for them.
I really can't say much about any of those coaches ...just haven't been around them but I'm surprised to hear that about Beiter. My son plays for Windber and being injured this week had the chance to talk with Beiter before the game. He had alot of nice things to say to my son and even talked with him about his grades and his ambitions as far as college goes. Told him that if there was anything he could do to help him just get in touch with him. I thought that was pretty cool. I was also impressed with the LV fans. They were very respectful and it was a joy to speak them during the game.

Ligonier Valley should be ashamed of themselves for not joining the LHAC! Playing a single A schedule, going undefeated being the Heritage Conference Champion and then being a number 3 or 4 seed in the district 6 AA playoffs is their goal then they should stay where they are at. As for most quality teams, a district championship is the Goal. I have had the chance to see this team play live twice this year. The are a very good team, but their second team is as good as the first team of most Heritage Conference Teams. The only team that will give them a game is Penns Manor. However, in my opinion, Penns Manor's first 11 is as good as LV but the depth of LV will overtake them. LV will never be respected if they stay in the Heritage Conference. If the Coaches and Administration our proud of this then by all means stay in the conference. Beat everyone year in and year out and then have the players turn in their equipment after the first district playoff game. They will never be respected if they stay in the Heritage Conference.

As for Beitel, plain and simple he is arrogant. Although I think he is a good coach, how can you respect him for playing in the Heritage Conference.

Apply with Chestnut Ridge to the LHAC. Beat schools your same size then make your goal a district championship.

I wouldn't think Coach Beitel would have much say in the which conference they compete in. I'm thinking those decisions are pretty much left to the athletic director and the school board. I could be wrong though...

I saw a video of a meeting ligonier had when they were talking of joining the lhac. It was on a save laurel valley facebook page. They asked the coaches what thier preference was and beitel said 100% heritage. Dont be mislead beitel loves going 9-0 in the heritage. He is classless and a punk. They would win 5 games in the lhac.

There's alot that goes behind a schools decision on conference affiliation including logistics, gate revenue and the sort. In my opinion it's all up to the A.D. and school board to decide. I feel asking the coaches their opinion was "token" and had no bearing on the schools decision. But like I said earlier, I could be entirely off-base here..

I could agree that the competition isn't and wont be too stiff for LV while they stay in heritage. It is what it is though, it is the conference they were placed in. i think that they would be more suited for LHAC where at least they would have some challenge in their schedule. They start playing teams like richland, Mccort, and forest hills i think they would be given a run for their money. It would make them a much better team and would prepare them more for the high caliber teams they face once they make it out of districts.

What really gets me is, Coach Beitel made a big show of being a proponent of the Heritage, but then all he ends up doing is whining how it's SO tough being the only AA school in the conference because they only get 80 points for each win over their conference brothren (all single A, as most of you are well aware). It sure does make it seem like getting regular season wins is his main goal, as opposed to playoff wins, because I believe he had a lot to do with the decision to stay put, and would have had a lot to do with the decision to try to move.
