As far as I know it all goes off of points.

It would be interesting if McCort ends up 6-4. There is a very real possibility they could lose to both Cambria Heights away and BG at home. Those two loses for CH don't look so bad now. I guess we will know more about CH after the game this week at PC

Jack is correct, its based upon points, mccort can loose 3-4 games and still easily make it. Same goes with say a Ligonier, they can go undefeated and since they play down they can be a 3-4 seed with 0 losses

I think dropping to 8 teams is a fantastic move, if only for the fact that it gives all schools in the district a 10 game schedule.

Also prevents teams that are 4-5 and have no business being in the playoffs from getting in, and also eliminates the chance of the top 2 or 3 seeds getting a bye week because there aren't 16 teams with a winning record and not all of those with a losing record elect to go to the postseason. Bye weeks suck, I hated having one my junior and senior year.

Although if any private goes 6-4 I doubt they miss given how many points they get for each win. I'm pretty sure there aren't going to be 8 teams from the A conferences with 3 losses or less but who knows.
Vehemently disagree with that statement. When was the last time a Private school won states in Class A ball. Hint, it was around 20 years ago.

Portage folk have a strong hatred for private schools. 2008 added fuel to that fire. Then of course Gouse dubbed them the "best public school in D6 A," even though they weren't. Bellwood-Antis was in 2008, would have beaten Portage by 3 or 4 scores easily.

Totally agree with you Jack, Bellwood would have beaten Portage rather easily. That was a GREAT game between BA and BM at the Point that year in the semi's. I also like that D6-A has gone back to an 8 team playoffs, the bye week for the top teams did stink!! Making it to the playoffs should be earned, and a team with 5 losses hasn't earned that right to be in. As I say that, Bellwood acouple years back (forget the year) did go in with a record of 5-4 and got hot and won the title that year beating Purchase Line in the finals. But I still like a 10 game regular season and an 8 team playoffs.

That game was an instant classic, just like every other BM vs BA game. BM beat Portage 42-6 that year, and BA 24-20. I feel confident had the Blue Devils beat us in the semis, Portage still would have lost the district title game by about the same score.
