The Brambley legacy started and ended with Tom Brambley ;)

Unless Jake decides to add to it, but he's got to make some changes if he wants to make some noise outside of the district.

I honestly think that the lack of student support at Everett (I always got a lot from my class and the class above me) has to do with the type of students that wrestle. You have two types of guys that wrestle: the farm boy braller type (75center, they are aka dirty) that may not be very social and also the type that have a reputation for being arrogant and therefore no one wants to come to support them.

From my memory though, I have to commend the basketball players that came to support. They came when they weren't competing themselves. Also, as a wrestler I would make sure that I went to support the basketball teams so that they had more reason to come support me.

i have seen everett at 2 tourneys this year so far and they seemed to have a decent amount of support. not a lot but enough that you knew they were there. i agree with 4him. if you show support for the other sports they usually do try to return the support if they don't have a game themselves. as for other students at school, have you tried asking them if they are going to come? sometimes they dont pay attention to the announcements, and don't realize there is a match that night. i've asked kids many times if they were going to the match and they didn't even know there was one. but as long as their parents let them they showed up. you could help improve your support by doing this. if nothing else it won't hurt to try :D .

I've seen the same thing, 75center. I see Grimes and Calhoun all the time at the Bball games, but only once in awhile have I seen basketball players at wrestling matches. Half the time I don't know a match is going on until Al tells me in the morning, so wrestling's not publicized like bball either.

that is one thing that i think has helped nbc draw decent crowds the past few years, even against not-so-quality opponents...our cheerleaders and wrestlers and wrestling fans do a good job of letting people know when a home match is...
