kobe is one of the few "all american boys" left in pro sports. i really dont think he would do anything to take away from his playing, and the whole rape incident is just rediculous, people today just cant stand to see a black man be good hearted and succeed....im not trying to be racist, but its the truth, u would never hear of anything like this happening w/ Favre!

lol thats hard to compare... i dont hear stories about favre committind adultry everyday... i dont believe kobe is guilty at all but how dumb can you be.... being one of the most known athletes in the world let alone basketball to hook up with a worker at a hotel??? i mean its his own stupid fault cause usually when your famous and u do something that stupid some one is gonna find out... and him committin adultry was bad enough but he should have atleast done it with some one not so crazy instead of just someone who was convenient for the night.... and as for kobe being so successful.... i just have to wonder how good he will be if he didnt have shaq... no doubt he is a great player but look at the lakers record when shaq isnt there.... kobe still puts up a gazillion points but in the end people are remembered for the championships they win and yes he does have 3... but would he have won them without shaq??? u dont see tracy mcgrady or allen iverson doing it....

good point c-n-b, greatness inspires greatness, so with out shaq kobe would be good, but not great. almost anytime u hear of a stand out athelete in any sport, they have an even better supporting cast. best example i have is Larod from jtown...he may have been a heck of a runner, but take away his O-line and see what his stats would have been.

I doubt the lakers will win the championship of they keep getting people hurt and them always getting into trouble . This year will be the Year for the kings in the west and in the east it will have to be the knicks or the pacers

I look for the Mavs to sneak in there and maybe also the Nets.

what is terrible is that you dont even need a .500 record to get in the playoffs in the east. There was a point this year that the 8th seed in the west had a better record then the 1st seed in the east.

Twoles have a legite shot doing damage in the playoffs if they can get over their first round curse, but if the lakers are healthy and they go in with a clear mind they will win it
