Exactly why don't the Penn State topics get deleted if we can't talk about this?

The Penn State situation has a national audience, under scrutiny by a national organization (NCAA). It has national interest and implications. THIS is why PSU can and should be discussed. It's like I said before, you can criticize Mike Wallace all you want for dropping a sure touchdown pass, but not a player from Cambria Heights.

Exactly Moldo. That's how it should be. No adult or athlete for that matter should ever be on here bashing high school athletes.
With this being local you may be talking about our very own users. Sorry some people can't seem to get that.

So if you are a high school athlete, you can drive a car, and possibly vote, but shouldn't be criticized for making a mistake on the basepath, or getting picked off of first. And if you are an athlete on this site, you gotta take the good with the bad.

In no way shape or form should this be about the fault of a high school athlete. I guess i don't understand that argument. Its more about the Athletic Administration, coach and school as a whole that needs to be criticized. Unless there were a lot of others that knew it was going on you then you can say, "why didn't this large group of kids not go to someone higher?" but until that comes out i feel this is on Salem and Bishop McCort's administration. Its a shame this "Brother" got away with this for so long and is not even here to day to deal with the crimes he committed. But to say things about athletes is not what needs to be discussed. The fact something like this happened on a much smaller confined school campus unlike penn state makes it even more need to go into how it happened.

The athlete thing was just a sidetrack in this discussion.

My stance is that as long as something isn't vulgar or slanderous, let it be. Criticism isn't slanderous. If criticism turns into slander and crosses that line then delete it. But save a copy, as well the ip address of the idiot who went too far and then ban the user. Thats all you need to protect yourself.
I still don't know what the heck was the big deal with the other topic. Too bad I missed it. I hate being in the dark.

Catholic school and young boys, it isnt brain surgery.
Big hopes for this new pope(I'm not religous at all but grew up in the church), he comes from the hood and may be progressive, if you allow priests to marry, the Chester Chesters wont target the catholic church to do their crimes as much, at least that is my theory. Maybe the new pope will even give women more power within the church.
