I agree with Bleacherbum as well. Penn State has always been Joe Paterno University to some and Penn State University to others. There are people who thought Joe Paterno was the school and that was where the problem all started. I've said it for 10 years he should have went out in 1994 after the Rose Bowl. Many people in State College thought Joe could do no wrong. They were dead wrong. Many feel any change that is made is a slap at Joe Paterno when in fact it is just a change that should have been made many many years ago. It's a shame with the job O'brien is doing at that school that many can't keep their nose out of it. As Obrien has said they are only making the situation worse than it is.

Here's what I can't understand. Bo'B is hired by PSU as their head coach. He doesn't show up at the University till after the Super Bowl. He then has all the days of spring practice, before he goes on some kind of 18 stop bus caravan. Next thing you know, he's preparing for fall camp. Then he HAS fall practice before playing 12 football games. After the regular season is over (no bowl game for the NITS), he is then involved in recruiting, getting ready for LOI day in early February. Then after LOI day, he changes drops the medical personal that have been there over the years. Tell me why? When did he have time to think about this? Was the previous medical situation broken? Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Why did BO'B stick his nose in the situation? Maybe it was BO'B who muddied the water. He should have left well enough alone. He should have stuck to recruiting, football practice and game planning. That's what he was hired for, not critiquing the system of athletic training and medical attention at PSU.

I'm sure BOB called the good doctor in his office ( along with his parents) and explained to them that the doctor would never be more than a 3rd sting physician on this team. If he wanted to practice medicine full time he should explore his option at a different title.
That BOB is a standup guy!!

PSU is a zoo, an absolute circus. They're killing and eating their own! The former team doctor Sebastianelli is a close friend of the Paturdos and is still Sues doctor. In defense of BOB, he's just bringing in his own people, just like the Paternos did for the last 50 years in hiring dozens of family members and friends at PSU. The Paternos are doing anything and everything to undermine BOB and the current leadeship to make JVP look good. Jay and Scott are total zeros, embarrassments who need to just shut up.
It's Civil War at PSU. The Paternos, Lubrano, Franco, PS4RS vs the new regime BOB and BoT.
Can't wait for the next round of trials!

I got a kick out of this SI article. A medical staff change at any other school would get no attention at all. The spat between Joyner and Sebastinelli is a joke. When Joyner's son needed surgery, he had Sebastinelli perform it. If there was an issue between the two why would you have the other perform the surgery. Also, Sebastinelli was given, what was essentially a promotion to the Director of Athletic Medicine (the new medical staff report to him). New coaches make changes, and this was just one of them made upon the recommendation of O'Brien. Sure some people are mad they lost their jobs, or whatever, welcome to the real world, people lose their jobs everyday.

If the medical staff is sending out players before they are cleared then there is an issue. Changing staff when a new coach comes in is NOT!
