Yes, it would. You are exactly right.

So because obrien didn't tell elmoldo or Cory giger his plans, it means he still hasn't made up his mind and the qb's are splitting reps......riiiiiight!

So you think BO'B has definitely made up his mind, and is secretly working with ONE QB in practice to fool Syracuse????

Yes a week ago. It has nothing to do with "fooling" Syracuse. They have never seen either qb and they are similar in style. More than likely this means it is Hackenberg. If O'brien announces who it will be it will serve as a distraction and lead to countless questions and distractions by media, fellow students, etc.
If you honestly think they are spending this week deciding who the QB is by splitting reps then you are even crazier than i originally thought.

When you need "deception" to help you win a game, then you're in trouble.

When you can't read and comprehend, you are in trouble as well.
O'brien is going to start Hackenberg, in my opinion. If the QB's are close, you start the True Freshman if you are in Penn State's situation. Penn State is not going to win a National Title. They aren't going to play in a bowl game. O'brien can walk into any high school recruits house now and say "You want to play as a true Freshman? Then come to Penn State. Christian Hackenberg did" It's a recruiting tool that will help Penn State get strong recruiting classes despite the size limitations.

Oh, brother. I can't read minds. Especially YOUR opinion or theories. So when BO'B tells kids "you want to start as a freshman", isn' t THAT deception???? Hey, tell an 18 year old ANYTHING. It's part of being a shyster. The problem is, BO'B HAS to deliver on a PROMISE.

So basically, you call out Bill O'Brien for doing what every successful college coach in America does. I'm sure Paul Chryst tells kids what they want to hear as well when they are competing with Toledo and Bowling Green for Recruits.

How is that deception? It's not deception if he says "you want to start as a freshman" especially since he has proof that he will start true freshman.

Deception is the name of the game in sports. That's why they have the play-action pass, screen plays, and draw plays. In order to win any game, you need deception.
